Noillirk vs Krillion

Spell Krillion backwards and you get Noillirk. The name is a hint: the two games ask the same kind of question and score it in opposite directions.

The same prompt, opposite answers

Take a prompt like Name a musical instrument. In Krillion the best answer is a real instrument few people would name; the famous ones are worth almost nothing. In Noillirk it is the reverse: the instrument most people say first tops the board and scores the most, and the rare one barely registers.

Two different skills

Krillion is a knowledge game: the more you know about birds, bands or capitals, the deeper you go. Noillirk is an empathy game: you have to set aside what you know and guess what a hundred strangers would say. Good Krillion players often find Noillirk surprisingly hard, because their first instinct is the clever answer.

How Noillirk Daily plays

Ten prompts a day, 30 seconds each, the same set for every player. Bands run from #1 Answer (100 points) down to Off the Board (10), and later questions count up to four times as much. The full rules are on how to play and every number is on the scoring page.

Questions

Is Noillirk the same game as Krillion?

It is the same idea turned upside down. Both give you a category with many right answers; Krillion rewards the rare one and Noillirk rewards the common one.

Why is it called Noillirk?

Noillirk is Krillion spelled backwards, because the scoring runs backwards too.

Which one is easier?

They test different things. Krillion favours people who know a category inside out. Noillirk favours quick, ordinary instincts, so a beginner can match an expert.
